After more than a decade of intensive study by the Dolphin Research Institute, we are starting to unravel some of the dolphins' mysteries. But we still know little about their needs and certainly, we still do not know enough to adequately protect them!
The Institute needs support from individuals, communities, like-minded organisations and government, as well as strong partnerships with the business sector, to continue our research and education work. We are working to develop secure, win-win relationships that are for the long term. Ideas for new partnerships are always welcome.
The Dolphin Research Institute needs your support to continue our work and to fill the gaps in our understanding and to act to protect our fragile marine environment. As well as individual Adopt-A-Dolphin support, here are some other ways you or your organisation can sponsor our work:-
Become a Sponsor
Many businesses choose to give back to the community that supports their business enterprise. DRI has a wide range of sponsorships from the business community, (see our list of current sponsors), but there is always more work to be done than there are resources available.
Sponsor our 'i sea, i care' Challenge this summer
The 'i sea, i care' Challenge is an exciting program that will see our research vessel and education team cover nearly 3000 square kilometers around our bays in January 2009. Become a Special Partner
Special Partners of the Dolphin Research Institute are like 'i sea, i care' Adopt-A-Dolphin supporters, but want to do more. As a Special Partner, you make a longer-term commitment to help us. Your monthly contributions, through credit card or bank account direct debit, means your support achieves more, by saving on administration and helping us to plan ahead. This a more convenient way to be involved.
Special Partners also receive additional feedback and invitations to become involved in VIP activities.
